What is Spherene

This is a plugin for Rhino and Fusion which can turn your model into spherenes. A shperene is a sphere-based geometry that still behaves like a solid but reduces weight and material used once printed or put into production. It also has ADMS (Adaptive Density Minimal Surfaces) that can print on any machine, any material and create complex shapes without added supports. Some ideal use cases include designers and creatives for things like footwear, but as the product, technology and understanding evolves we can see this used in construction or medical. 

What are Spherenes

These geometric structs form tightly packed spheres, that once used in printing, can create complex densities with improved strength, porosity and isotropy. Using these you can create lightweight objects that are stronger with minimal surface points, effective material usage but also allows an internal flow.

This metamaterial is changing the industry, creating objects and parts that are lighter but also more efficient. Mimicking bulk material properties and cutting design time, it’s all able to be seamlessly added to your CAD workflow with this plugin.
